Part 1: Short-answer questions
Select one prompt from each group of the two groups below. Respond to each selected prompt in 100 words or less (<100 words each; 200 words total).

​Part 2: Career Goal Essay
Michigan Ross is a place where people from all backgrounds with different career goals can thrive. What is your short-term career goal and why? (200 words)

Here are some tips to answer the essay questions. directly from the admissions team

Optional essay:
Is there something in your resume or application that could use some explanation? You might want to discuss the completion of supplemental coursework, employment gaps, academic issues, etc. Feel free to use bullet points where appropriate.

Other Application components:

GMAT/ GRE/ MCAT/ LSAT Tests
Ross will now accept MCAT and LSAT scores in addition to the GMAT and GRE scores.

Resume:
Resumes should be one page long

The resume should provide educational information, professional experience, community service activities and your hobbies/interests. Include dates

Recommendations:
Ross requires one recommendation, ideally from your current or former supervisor. Other alternatives include a client or a mentor.  Ross uses the GMAC recommendation. Questions are:

1. Please provide a brief description of your interaction with the applicant and, if applicable, the applicant’s role in your organization. (50 words)
2. How does the performance of the applicant compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles? (E.g., what are the applicant’s principal strengths?) (500 words)
3. Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant’s response. (500 words)

Interview:
Interviews are conducted by invitation only. They are conducted by a Ross student either on campus, on Skype or by an alum in your area.

Reapplications:
You are a reapplicant if its been less than a year since you applied. Here’s what you need to submit:

  1. Updated resume
    Update letter about your achievements and goals since your original application. Upload the letter with your updated resume.
  2. Letter WIth Updates Since You Applied
    Submitting an updated test score, transcript, recommendation letter, and essays are optional. If you interviewed in the most recent admissions cycle, and are invited to interview again you can choose to use the previous year’s interview or interview again. If you did not interview in the previous admissions cycle and are invited to interview, you will need to interview this year to be considered for admission. The application fee is waived.
