Required Essay:
At Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School, we value our community and it is important for each person to contribute to its success. What difference will you make as a member of the MBA class at the Tepper School? (Maximum 350 – 500 words, double spaced, 12 point font).)
Career Goals Essay:
What is your professional goal immediately following graduation from Tepper? (150 words)
What other role would you consider? In other words, what is your Plan B? (150 words)
Fun Question:
List an interesting fact about yourself that you’d like to share with your future Tepper classmates (1 or 2 sentences)
Optional Essay:
There also is an optional essay for additional information about your candidacy that you may wish to share with the admissions committee. Use this essay to convey important information that you may not have otherwise been able to convey. This may include unexplained resume gaps, context for recommender selection, etc.
If you are a re-applicant, explain how your candidacy has strengthened since your last application.

This should be 1-2 pages, 12 point font size. Include all full-time, part-time and volunteer positions you have held.
Recommendations:
We require just one recommendation and prefer that you select someone from your professional life. Ideally you would pick a supervisor (current or previous) but someone who can speak to your strengths at work would be best.
Questions:
1. Please provide a brief description of your interaction with the applicant and, if applicable, the applicant’s role in your organization. (Recommended word count: 50 words)
2. How does the performance of the applicant compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles? (e.g., what are the applicant’s principal strengths?) (Recommended word count: 500 words)
3. Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant’s response. (Recommended word count: 500 words)
4. Is there anything else we should know? (Optional)
