Mandatory Short Answer Questions (40-word limit each)
1. What are your short-term post-MBA career goals?
2. How will your professional experience and the Goizueta MBA help you to achieve those goals?
3. What’s a fun fact about you that you would like the committee to know?

Essay Questions (300-word limit each)
Answer the 2 essay questions below. Each response should be no more than 300 words.

1. Goizueta Business School’s mission is to prepare principled leaders to have a positive influence on business and society. Identify a personal account of a time you effectively demonstrated your leadership skills. Respond to one of these two prompts:
1. What about this experience made you feel proud of your leadership abilities?
OR
2. What did this experience teach you about leadership?

2. Our lived experiences shape who we are and the aspirations we have. As a values-driven community, we care about what has shaped your life. Please share what or who has had the biggest impact on your life.

Optional Essay (500-word limit)
Still have more to share? This optional essay is your opportunity to share something you couldn’t find a place for on your application. This is also where you should address anything the committee may question (e.g., gaps in employment, academic challenges, choice of recommender). You can use essay format or bullets. Please identify topics if more than one is addressed.

Video Essay
Telling your story through written essays is an important part of the application, but the video essay lets us hear your words in your own voice. In the required video essay, every candidate will answer a “small talk” question to help the MBA Admissions Committee get to know you.

Reapplicants:
Reapplicants are those who applied to the MBA program within the last two application years, so those who applied three or more years ago are considered new applicants.
Reapplicants are required to answer the first two Short Essay Prompts. It is suggested, but not required, to also answer the third Short Essay Prompt, as well as the Optional Essay.

Recommendation: Reapplicants can submit only one new recommendation (can be same recommender as previous application)

Other Application Components:

Recommendations:
Emory requires two recommendations from individuals who know your performance in a work setting. Make sure that you choose at least one person who knows you well in your current position such as a direct supervisor, project manager, or client.

Recommendation questions are:
1. Please indicate to which group you are comparing this candidate (e.g., co-worker, MBA graduate, etc.)
2. What characteristics or attributes best describe the applicant?
3. In what area is the applicant most exceptional?
4. In what area(s) does the applicant need improvement? Describe the applicant’s awareness of these areas and response to constructive feedback.
5. How would you describe the applicant’s interpersonal skills and the impression they make in meetings, presentations, or other interactions? Is the applicant effective when working in a team?

Alternatively, your recommender can submit the GMAC common LOR

Resume:
Submit a one-page or two-page resume that includes your locations, titles, and dates, starting with your most recent job. The education section should include dates of attendance and degrees received.

Interview:
Interviews are by invitation only. The interview is similar to a professional job interview and lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Reapplications:
Reapplicants have to answer the following questions:

1. What will professional success look like immediately after your MBA experience? Please describe where you would like this degree program to take you professionally. Include information such as desired job title, responsibilities, company, impact, and/or industry. Explain how your professional experiences and personal strengths align with your post-MBA goals. (200 word limit)
